Hi, I am Maria Ollas and I originally come from Finland.
I live in Basel since August 2007 - and I still enjoy living in Basel and Switzerland.
I have been working for a few well-known international companies in different managerial positions in three different countries in a global environment.
The red thread in my business career has been connected with change management in multi-cultural environment. My main tasks have been connected to developing, driving and implementing different changes in processes or setups within procurement and supply chain.
Changes have always fascinated me, because they happen on different levels - both on personal, team, department and company level. Each level requires as well a different level of communication, understanding and actions, in order to navigate to a successful outcome. Communication is crucial in any change process, in my opinion, as well as active listening.
My language skills (English, Swedish, Finnish, German, Russian as well as basics in Spanish) have been a great asset, providing a means to reach and touch people on a more personal level.
